karl...this is the most amazing set of pics. i was in the park but i stayed way far away from this action, as i couldn't stand to see what MIGHT happen. you have really done a great job of documentation. i really was scared with this pole as i used to watch it sway back and forth in the wind. why did they put in such a mast! jeez, with a sail i could have made it to marblehead massachusetts!!! it was leaning quite a ways before they took it down. on the other side of the street behind 153 the safety wire came out of the ground and that pole was really leaning before they tied it to the euclyptus that is in the field.
